There are just conflicting reports all > over. Its like finding a needle in a haystack getting to teh truth. , It's really not that bad. Most sources say that certain types of fish are problematic. Most sources identify the highly problematic types as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. Tuna is one of a group of types with moderate contamination. It's usually considered OK to consume fish in the moderate category occasionally. It's worth noting that fresh tuna is more contaminated than the canned varieties, and the white albacore canned is more contaminated than the cheaper varieties. This has to do with the size and age of the fish. For a rather simple chart illustrating the relative levels of contamination, go here: http://www.state.me.us/dhs/etp/hglevels.htm

I agree completely about that. It IS bad. I just meant that it wasn't all that confusing. The situation is definitely loathsome though...
