Guest guest
Hello all! Sounds like lots of us have seen petechiae. As I understand it, they are pinpoint dots that do not blanch--usually red or kind of purple in color. They usually last (for us anyway) quite a few days and then slowly fade away. I have never seen the bigger bruises you guys are mentioning...in fact, I rarely see bruises on Mason at all. We don't notice any other bleeding problems, but Mason is ALWAYS constipated, and usually the colors aren't " correct " , either. He usually has green or they're very, very dark in color. I've never seen tar-colored stools--yet. He also had his PT/PTT checked (normal) but has not had regular blood levels drawn very often. We do see nosebleeds on occasion, but I attribute this to allergy meds/nose spray. Nice to hear others see the petechiae, also. Well, have a good night, everyone!
