Guest guest
I have moved so much that I have left friends and have had to make new ones too many times. it is much harder when we are older and no longer have kids in school Check in your area if there is a newcomers group, check in the internet or ask at the library You may not be a newcomer, but go to one of their meetings anyway. They usually have small groups and you may find that you want to join some of those - for instance book club, card games, lunch outings, stitch and chat, etc. It is an easy way to find other people that have your same interests. It starts slowly but with time, some of them may become your friends. The church is another way of course. I have recently moved again, and after being very alone in my previous home (I was there for 3 years and all my neighbors worked or had little ones), I have joined the newcomers club in my area and I am meeting many people. No one that I can call a friend right now, but Im sure it will develop with a few of them, in the meantime I am having fun playing cards, reading books and just getting together with other women good luck to both of you Lucy **************Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape. http://body.aol.com/fitness/winter-exercise?NCID=aolcmp00300000002489
