Guest guest
Your cortisol is too high late at night which is probably why you can't sleep. During the day though it is low. Do you get a second wind of energy at night? This is the beginning stage of adrenal fatigue. This is how I was 20 years ago. When everyone else was winding down and relaxing and getting ready for slumber or already asleep, I would get a second wind at 11 p.m. and be washing floors at 1 a.m. I never knew then this was abnormal or what was to come later which was total burnout of my adrenals. How can you tell-- low or high nighttime cortisol? My latest saliva test: 8am 7 [13-24] LOW 12pm 5 [5-10] LOW-NORMAL 4pm 3 [3-8] LOW-NORMAL 11pm 8 [1-4] HIGH DHEA NORMAL (supplementing) I've been taking a lot of Seriphos & Relora at night for insomnia. My question is-- how can I tell if night cortisol is too high or too low? The symptoms seem so similar. Thanks.
