Guest guest
Hi Angie, The skin problems associated with dermatomyositis can of course vary a lot between individuals. I think that one of the hallmarks is a purple and slight puffy look to the eyelids. (pretty, huh? :-) After that, there can be a very red, sunburned look to the face and upper trunk. Also it can flare and become inflamed and itchy from time to time. Mine was a lot less in severity. I didn't really have the sunburned look, just some itchy and inflamed patches on my face that would come and go...in addition to the pretty purple eyelids. Now, it is about 95% better. I would be willing to bet that most rheumatologists wouldn't be able to find any trace of skin involvement in me now. Thank you for your address. I will get the tapes to you directly. take care and lots of hugs, Angie, Connie Re: Angie > > connie what kind oif skin problems does that disease bring into the picture? > I have heard of it but to be honest don't know much about it.
