Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I have a special request here for help. On January 23rd, my husband and I were charged with nine counts of selling unprocessed milk by DATCP (Department of Trade and Consumer Protection) here in Wisconsin. These charges are " so off base " , and have turned our lives upside down during the past month. We have a story to tell here, but I won't bore everyone with it on this list. If you would like to read our story, please visit our web pages http://www.midvalleyvu.com and click on the link Read our Story on the upper right of the page. This will explain what has happened and what we're dealing with. You can also browse around our pages to learn more about us. In brief, DATCP is trying to take away our Grade A permit for selling raw milk, when it's completely legal to do so here in Wisconsin. But that's not even the point here, we are not selling milk, we're selling cow shares, and have written agreements (legal bill of sales) with each of our cow share owners. How can you help? We need backing - people to send emails, make phone calls, or send in letters or petitions on our behalf. We have all of the names, addresses and email addresses on our pages where you can write to. They need to know that people care, and that people don't want to lose their right to be able to choose their food sources. Every letter or petition sent in will be put in our file, and will help us tremendously. The more people we involve in our fight, the better chance we have of winning. It doesn't matter if you're from Wisconsin or not. In fact, if people from outside of Wisconsin write in, DATCP will be forced to realize this is something people from all over are concerned about. We have contracted a lawyer for our case, and have high hopes that we will win this fight. But it will take time and expense. We are prepared to take this all the way to Circuit court if we must. We need to fight for our rights, and the rights of people to choose their own foods. Thank you for listening and for any help you can offer. The Brunner's Wayne and Janet wajabrun@...
