Guest guest
Because P and PA are auto-immune they are often suppressed during pregnancy since the immune system is suppressed (this is not always true for some reason!). This happened with me during my second pregnancy - I was completely clear and pain free (arthritis pain that is) but unfortunately a few months after delivery of my beautiful daughter I had the worst attack of p and pa ever! Guest guest
I read an online article, yesterday. Close to 24 million people have one of these diseases, mostly women. The article did talk about pesticides, micro organisms and other possible causes. The conditions mentioned were: RA, SLE, MS. scleroderma, diabetes I, and so on. Bottom line of the article was the tremendous increase. A 30 year physician at Hopkins in Baltimore had approximately seven to eight Lupus patients. She now has a much larger number (sorry, can't remember) from just a few streets in the immediate neighborhood in addition to others from outside the area.
