Just another level abnormal that my doc blew off-AUG!>> A new review (Nutr Rev 2007;65:512-15) expresses concerns about folic acid, citing experimental data supporting the notion that folic acid supplementation can promote preexisting yet undiagnosed cancer. I have no idea if this is cause for alarm, but it may be interesting and worth pursuing, imo. This idea about folic acid supplementation has been around for a while and was at one time a caution for br ca patients. Don't know if it still is. There are always those folks around who want to point out the high risks of supplements but never tell you about side effects and death from pharmaceuticals, so I always take these studies with a grain of (celtic) salt. Guest guest
True, True, I'm doubting the little thats absorbed through my multi- vitamin actually made my folic acid level so high. Im thinking it got that way on its own. Don't know, Hopefully this new doctor will have some more thought on it! If I can ever get the appointment scheduled!
