Guest guest
, I was apparently very bloated... LOL my bmi was 61. I am only 5'2 " tall and everything about me is pretty small, except that gut of mine just wouldn't fit into booths or airplane seats or movie theatre seats, and amusement park rides!! Ugh, this summer I'm doing everything I wasn't able to do for years!! I've finally getting a butt, too. It's always looked like a double wide refrigerator (doors and all).. Guest guest
Rhonda: I do know that for 5-10$ you can ride a pace car around the tract any weekend except race weekend. I don't think MGB will do much during that weekend. I think it is sometime in July and maybe March. Phyllis There is also a race car museum there. Guest guest
Rhonda.... Hey there...sounds like we have a bunch of gardeners here...everyone on the band wagon....soooo neat.... I am going to try to answer a couple of your emails in this one...so sit down...get comfortable.... As far as the rabbits...we don't have them running around our yard...and I think that is because we have alot of cats......but we do have a pet rabbit in a hutch...so soft and cute... but we do have lots of squirrels....and you are right...they do throw things at you...we have a lot of oak trees so they throw acorns...ouch... You have a very good read on Tyler...you seem to know just how he feels about this whole thing...and I know that he must be holding alot in...and try to talk to him about everything as much as possible....without dwelling on being sick.....very tough...since he is going to be on his own sometime soon...and have to make sure that he takes this all seriously with out bringing him down...I have been able to handle all the tough stuff since he was 9....and he is soon going to have to do it alone....that is scary to me...but we will get thru it....I hope that day doesn't come soon ..but I know that he wants to be like his brother and sister who are 24 and 27 and live out of state ...because of their jobs...and are on their own...he wants to be in that place...not home with mommy and daddy...and I understand that...but still hope it doesn't happen too soon... So Rhonda...your husband is a musician....so is mine...plays in a couple different bands...one of them being the same band he was in when we were in High School....and I got one of my best friends from HS to go with the organ player...and they are also married and have kids basically the same age as mine...so we see each other alot...that is neat.... Both the boys are musicians...they all play just about anything...but mainly guitar...which we have many of.....lol...My daughter is the dancer... although all of them took dancing lessons...they were all very good...infact my other son writes and teaches for dancers....he was in Japan doing that last yr in September...and it was weird when he would call us....Japan is 13 hours ahead of us here in NJ in the US.....very weird... Oh well ...you'd better get up and stretch your legs now....lol take care and talk soon... Luanne Ty's mom
Guest guest
Hi there... Hope you are able to get something to help you...I know this really helped Ty....and know how important it is to not have to deal with acne... Yes I was painting garden signs for mom....they came out nice...I am pleased...made 2 of them....will be putting them in her garden tomorrow...today it is raining...again.... I am happy that Ty got thru his first yr....it is not where he wanted to go...but this is what he had to do...he missed most of his senior yr and was not able to get the grades in in time to apply....he wanted to go to Boston...No. Eastern....but ended up much closer and living home...but he is adjusting....I guess....one more yr there and then he will go away...but not as far as Boston...I don't think...we will see.... take care and talk soon Luanne Ty's mom
Guest guest
Dear Rhonda, Did you call your doctor to see if he has any freebie samples of the med you need? And also, try to work out with your pharmacy to let you only take a portion of the presription at a time (3-5 days worth). That would help with the initial cash outlay as well as you can see if the med is going to help you. I know our pharmacy often will fill a few days worth of a new, expensive med to make sure we could tolerate it first before buying the complete script. Hope this helps you some. We are thinking of you.... Cheryl & Randy
Guest guest
Hi Rhonda: Its me again. Hope you get to the support meeting. The clinic we had at the picnic wasn't really a clinic. He sat and talked to the group and was able to see a few people individually. He had a problem with a patient and had to take her back to the OR so he only was there for about 2 hours and that just did not do it. He can only do so much. Guest guest
Rhonda, it is so wonderful to hear from you again and I am glad that you are back. I have truly missed our talks. We are here as always. I just got back myself after a month off from a " flare " . I am very sorry that you are not in remission though, but glad that you decided that this was a good time to sign on again. I look forward to talking again friend. Love, Sue #2 -- I'm back Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have been gone from the group about a year, and I really missed it. There has been a lot going on in my little corner of the world, BUT I decided now is a good time to rejoin. I am no longer in remission, and I am now beginning to wonder if there is a such thing as permanent remission. Every time this happens, it throws me emotionally!! The pain is worse this time than it has been in years...(Or so it seems) ANYway...I am glad to be back and have enjoyed the many posts I have read...I know I have a lot of catching up to do! Love you all! Rhonda Creely

Guest guest
Hi . I have a couple more questions I'd like to ask you but they're a little personal so I was wondering if there is a way to e-mail you without everyone else reading it? Guest guest
Thank you, , glad to know I'm not the only one who started too much at once! How silly I feel now, wish I had been more informed at the time but live and learn. There were a couple things I think I should've added in my post. First, no doctor's assistance in any of this. Her ped feels that autism is strictly neurological and that the leaky gut theory would mean admitting vaccines play a role in autism and that is " poppy cock " . This is the same guy who told me my 4 month old was cranky and inconsolable all the time because she's a red head. Nice. She had thrush at 3 months, yeast related? And has only had 1 ear infection which I chose not to treat but instead let it run it's course. Also, she loves bread and salty things such as Bugles and potato sticks which I notice to be a frequent topic on this board. So, someone had suggested fatty acids, that enzymes alone are not enough. At her young age, I'm wondering if that's the case. Help. Thanks again, Rhonda
Guest guest
Hello again, , after re-reading your reply I was wondering about the color of Livia's stools. When I think back on nursing my oldest daughter, her stools changed when she started solid foods also. Livia's are pretty much the same either way. Do you think this would be something that I could bring up to her ped for testing? Shouldn't her stools be regular by now? Can he test for yeast? I'm thinking if this is not normal he'd have to do something and he wouldn't think it's just another of my crazy ideas, he thinks I'm a kook now. (I'm not, mind you, I just like to send him things to read that may pertain to my child's condition but he thinks autism's pretty cut and dried, you've got it, deal with it and nothing will help with the exception of IET). Are there other noticeable signs of yeast? Rhonda

THAT'S AN INTERESTING STATMENT YOUR DOCTOR MADE " probably a bright one and he didnt even realize it..... Red Hair is supposed to mean Copper in the hair and is a copper v zinc imbalance one of the main signs of Autism (pfeiffer clinic). This means the child has to have the zinc raised and also get the toxic metals hair test analysis....... take care marion Nice. She had > thrush at 3 months, yeast related? Guest guest
Are you sure it means copper and not just that her grandmother has red hair as did I as a young child? (So did my great-grandfather and 2 of my aunts). There is no autism in my family or my husband's. Olivia is the first. However, if this were the case, I assume you would have to balance her zinc/copper? With supplements? Isn't this dangerous? What issues would emerge as a consequence of imbalance? For example, sensory? or maybe hypotonia?
