Low Dose Naltrexone treatment?

I found this in a thread from another group... does anyone have experience with

this drug? I would love to hear about it.

Naltrexone has been used in large doses for drug addicts since 1984 an American

doctor, Dr Bihari, found that this drug in minute doses helped MS sufferers and

then other autoimmune diseases. It works on the endorphins and is non-toxic in

large doses. Trouble is that because this drug is out of patent and therefore

NO money can be made from doing clinical trials for use on other diseases, it

won't happen unless the NHS funds trials. A petition, handed in by Dr Chris

Steele, has asked for funding to be made available as this drug will save money

as it is less than £1 per day.

For more information, I looked at these websites: It's very interesting! There

are no side effects.

Hi,

I am taking low dose Naltrexone (LDN) for 7 months now and it has really helped

with the muscle weakness I have from Dermatomyositis. I could hardly stand

upright. it is a slow working medication but after six weeks I could tell the

difference. All you have to do is type in LDN and you will get lots of info. I

am also on antibiotics on alternate days.

I have been using since Jan 2010, with good results but would like to do AP, as

soon as I find a doctor.
