Guest guest
Dolores, I fired the rheumy just before we came to visit you in Corpus Christi. She had told me that the chemo treatment I had taken for a year had not helped me, That is why she put me on Cellcept and Enbrel. I was also taking Prednison. I had been on the antibiotics for just 9 months and I had asked in January if she would put me on the antibiotics and she told me " no way. it doesn't work " . I still saw her because she did my blood work. I stopped Cellcept and Enbrel end of March and the Prednison in May of that year. I finally told her I would not be back since I was using the AP. I still think remission is a while off for me because I took all this nasty drugs for over three years, almost four. Also I had been very sick with interstitial pulmonary fibrosis and lost a lot of weight. I am now able to walk up and down the stairs again, slowly and with the handrails and my cane. The weather still lets me know it is changing, specially when it gets cold. Dr. K had put me on Pepsid AD twice daily after it helped me, with my hands, when I was in the hospital. After 6 months it stopped so I tried using it only the first three days of the month and that seems to do the trick. My hands look a lot better. They are still dry but not as bad as when I saw you. Sure seems to be a long time. I read a log I kept when I was very sick and I couldn't believe how bad I felt. I am able to do lots more now, very little pain, I have started to clean out boxes and cabinets that have been left unattended for 6 years. my, my what a mess, it will take me a long time to get this all cleaned up. LOL. You take care and don't let any doctor mess with your eyes again. I had a friend she had both of her eyes done and she was like you with your one eye being bad. She had to get a magnifying glass to read. She dropped out of the German choir, so sad. Say HI to Mike and we hope when we have a chance we will come for a visit, We have so many things going on with both the German choirs, trips, singing festivals, meetings all over the US. Plus we have a few family visits planned. So take care, Eva
