Guest guest
I am going to be starting a job in January as a preschool teacher and am required to get a TB test. I have dermatomyositis. Would there be any issue with a person with an auto-immune disease getting a TB test? I believe the shot does not contain live bacteria. Thanks in advance for your responses. Guest guest
Kathy, I too have/had dermatomyostis. I have had TB tests, and it has been fine. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had a TB test when I was still very sick, and one since recovering. There was no noticeable impact on the disease either time.
