Guest guest
Hi DOLORES  Sorry to heart about your problem with inflammed bowel. As I mentioned in my previous emails I have been taking LDN(low dose naltrexone) for more than two years without having any side effect. There is many published research on efficiency of LDN for inflammation of bowel including Cronh's disease. Dr. Whitmann prescribes LDN for many of his patients now. why don't you try LDN? soheila  From: DEBBIE GIBSON <Debbullwinkle@... <mailto:Debbullwinkle%40fuse.net> > Subject: rheumatic for Delores, One more thought " support group " <rheumatic <mailto:rheumatic%40> > Date: Friday, July 2, 2010, 10:51 AM Delores,I read several studies a few years ago regarding diarrhea...and the physicians in the study used a specific probiotic, S. Guest guest
Hi Sohelia, Intereesting info about LDN. When I was in Pensacola and going to the Infectious disease doc, I brought up the subject to him and he dismissed it saying that it was only for medical overdoses or something to that effect. At that time I was only having the diarrhea infrequently, and all my blood work had just gotten to normal, so I just dropped the subject.  Right now I am seeing a local doctor only when I need a refill on my meds as he doesn't know a thing about scleroderma.  Also he speaks Spanish fluently and English poorly and I do the opposite. Communication is difficult and I know that sooner or later, I will have to shop around for a doc, I can communicate with better and who knows more about scleroderma. I guess since all my blood work turned neg and I am feeling good otherwise, I have neglected myself. Got involved in moving and taking care of Mom. I know I should keep up my vigilance. I guess I just got lazy about that. I will research the LDN again and see what properties it has that prevents diarrhea and its' causes. Glad to hear you are doing better. How is you job coming along? R U still going to school these days. Will you make NY your permanent home? I do miss having you come and visit me when I was in NY. It was not often and wish we could have gotten together more frequently.  I am growing fonder of Puerto Rico as time passes, but also miss NY and all my friends. I communicate with them by internet ,and phone, but it is not the same as meeting them for lunch anywhere in the city. Glad to hear you are also very satisfied with Dr. Whitman and doing better. Debbie also swears by him. She travels a long distance once a year to see him. I stopped going to him because he didn't want to follow the Marshall Protocol with me. He was afraid of me doing the large doses of Benicar. But, I was determined. As it turned out, it was the best thing for me.. It turned the tide and a year or so later, my blood work converted to normal and still is today. Except for the loose bowels, I have no other complaints. The diarrhea has stopped. None yesterday and so far, none has occured today. I did implement some of the suggestions that came across the board and so far, so good. Hopefully, I can get this situation to end soon. My best to you, Love~~~Dolores   From: DEBBIE GIBSON <Debbullwinkle@...
