Guest guest
Hi, guys. I also tried the L-lysine without having any relief for it. I took it for at least 3 months. I always have more problems in the winter with my ReA, even though AP works amazingly well for me when the temperature outside is above 40 degrees. Anyhow, I have an interesting question- Other than many of our responses to Minocin, the non-generic, working better than minocycline, the generic, have any of you experienced better success with non-generics relating to other drugs that you take? For instance, in addition to the minocin working better than minocycline for me, I find that the generic for Zyrtec (allergy OTC) doesn't work at all, while Zyrtec works really well. .I'm curious if this phenomena is more widespread than it should be. Thanks. -Mona Re: rheumatic: Question about L-Lysine rheumatic Date: Sunday, January 2, 2011, 7:59 PM Hi , My name is Anne and I've been a silent part of rheumatic group for nearly three years. I have RA and I am not improving, I was on AP for almost three years and achieved almost total remission. However, after severe stress that entered my life over two years ago RA hit me with such force that nothing seems to help anymore. I am much worse than before my remission. In desperation I tried Methotrexate and Plaquenil with no improvement, only side effects. I have not gathered enough courage to try Enbrel or Humira yet. A few weeks ago some members of this group were exchanging information about L-Lysine. I was wondering if it helped anyone?
Guest guest
Hi Mona, This is the reason for allergies and meds causing reactions…generics. There is grading of generics as well as OTC meds. Some have so many fillers there is no room for the meds. Some have fillers that cause the pill or cap not to dissolve when itshould (causing nausea, gas, diarrhea..etc because of it being absorbed or not in a different part of the intestinal tract). There are a lot of things the public doesn’t know about meds that the food and drug adm says they are OK with. I really wish I could afford non generic meds all the time but I can’t anymore and name brands have gotten unreachable unless you have a really good medical plan. cooky Subject: rheumatic L-lysine didn't work.
