I started T3 last week. for the first 5 days everything was fine. Yesterday, and

today, about 4.5 hours after my first dose I am experiencing major body freeze

and no energy! On the opposite side I am also feeling a little more clear

headed and able to focus than before,My temp right now is 97.6-actually pretty

normal for me up till now in all my treatment- my pulse is 68 -low for me.

I started Isocort and Iron last month.

I am wondering if maybe my iron or my cortisol is not at the proper place.

In the past, before I started T3 I was quite warm and sweaty, because of

adrenaline surges, those then abated during the last month. And now I am back to

feeling the cold spells, that I started feeling for the first time last winter.

I am just confused, help anyone.

Thanks

Kim

>I am just confused, help anyone.

As you increase the T3 your own T3 and T3 production will reduce.

It may be you are ready for your first increase

What is your measured temperature and resting pulse?

How much are you taking and what were you on before?

Is your temperature stable?

Have you had ferritin tested?

Generally adrenal and ferritin effects are slumps and anxiety rather

than just feeling cold that sounds like hypo.

about 1 hour after I took my noon dose I started feeling better. So now I am

thinking that I do need to increase, and them maybe break some of my doses up

and take them a lttle more often. So that I don't have a crash inbetween.

Temp. right now is 98.2, pulse is 88

During the cold spell temp was 97.7, and pulse was 68

I have only been taking t3 for 6 days. days 1-3 I split a 12mcg pill btwn. Then

on day 4, 5 and today I took 2 doses of 12mcg - 1 in the AM and 1 at noon.

Before I started my temps varied about .3

before I started taking iron 1 mo. ago, my ferritin was 48

Thanks for the help nick. I just have no idea what I am doing, and I am slowly

figuring it out.

Thank you thank you.

The safest way is lots of small doses and then if you find you are on

too much you can just miss out a dose and it wears off quickly.

temperature and pulse are good guides, slow changes in temperature are

thyroid and quick ones are adrenal.

You sound like you are on the track, it's learning the feel of your

body.
