Guest guest
Concerning birth control pills: When I went for my annual pap in Nov, I discussed MGB with my GYN, Dr. Mohs in Raleigh. He told me that BCP are absorbed in the medial small intestine, and would therefore not be a safe method of birth control after surgery. I have been on the Depo Provera shot for 1 year now and Dr. Mohs felt it would be good for me to continue with that after surgery as no GI absorbtion is required. Since there MAY be a problem with depression after surgery.......this may CONTRIBUTE to the problem further. You can also still experience the side effects for quite a time AFTEr the shot. /Oxford Ohio/Preop BMI 46.1 Pending insurance approval
