Yeh, Whey is dairy, so I don't get it. The other option is soy protein powder,

and apparently that messes with hormones too much. Some of the diet is stuff I

sort of question. She says NO CANNED TUNA. Huh? Apparently she used to eat a lot

of tuna and found she had high mercury levels. I am not sure that the ban on

eating canned tuna makes all that much sense. I am going to check out the info

on the FDA and mercury in canned tuna. Could be she was getting it from other

fish. The gal that runs Cambiati is sort of politically bent in that you are

only " permitted " to eat organic vegetables, grass fed beef, eggs from range free

chickens, caught-in-the-wild fish (not farm raised), etc. So I do not think

everything she says is truly a golden rule.

As for the GIARDIA, it is often found in water. However, I had done no traveling

in several years outside of where I live, so no change in drinking water. I had

not been camping or drinking out of streams. It can get sprayed onto vegetables

by water sprinklers at the farm. I was eating a lot of raw veggies...I love raw

cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. With veggies, I rinse them, but I do not use

any soaps to wash them. With broccoli, there are so many zillions of little

nooks and crannies in a broccoli head there would be no way to clean out

everything. My best guess is that I consumed some raw vegetables that had been

sprayed clean with water that contained GIARDIA (There was a major city in the

US ...like Detroit or Chicago...that found Giardia in their water supply about

that time....). Anyhow, that is just a guess. And since then, I will not eat

raw cauliflower or broccoli. Or if I do, I will have to immediately follow it

with a couple days of eating raw garlic!
