Guest guest
You all might be interested in a liquid iron supplement called Floradix Iron + Herbs. It is non-constipating and easily absorbed. My Mother did quite well on it. I got it at Vitacost.com. I was able to purchase twice the volume for the same price as the initial one purchased at my Health Food store. Today I see a hematologist every 3-6 months, do blood testing and typically have a drip bag of Ferritin. According to my doctor iron pills do not absorb as easily (for me not at all) and cause great constipation for myself and many. This is common. That should definitely be checked and watched. It is not unusual that you would be bruising and cold and can easily be controlled. I thought it was Raynaud's and just related AI symptoms. Guest guest
how odd, I can not take iron, and I have tried a variety of it but it makes me sick to my stomach so I asked my AP doctor and she told me that I don't need it. But why would it make me sick? Eva From: Ken and <kglg@...> Subject: Re: rheumatic bruising / cold /Ferritin rheumatic Date: Thursday, October 28, 2010, 7:45 AM Â I can vouch for Floradix as well. Guest guest
Eva, You ask, " *But why would it (iron) make me sick?* " http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4926915_why-iron-causes-constipation.html#ixzz13f9P\ jqH4 *This may be because iron is a metal in its basic form. Metals can carry a charge that is magnetic or electric, affecting muscles and nerves in the bowel. *Lindsey On Thu, Oct 28, 2010 at 9:34 AM, Eva Holloway <holloway-eva@...>wrote: > > > how odd, I can not take iron, and I have tried a variety of it but it makes > me sick to my stomach so I asked my AP doctor and she told me that I don't > need it. *But why would it make me sick? > *Eva > > > > From: Ken and <kglg@... <kglg%40pathcom.com>> > Subject: Re: rheumatic bruising / cold /Ferritin > rheumatic <rheumatic%40> > Date: Thursday, October 28, 2010, 7:45 AM > > > > I can vouch for Floradix as well.
