Guest guest
H, I experience this only when my hubby turns the jets and blower up to high. If the jets are on " normal " then I am OK in the spa. But he likes to " play " with it, and turn it up and then it hurts me everywhere. The dealer we bought ours from said you had to work up to the high settings, but I don't think I want to. The high settings almost shoot me out of the spa completely, they are really powerful!! LOL As for blood pressure, I have always (since I was 24 years old) had high BP, and mine seems to be under control now, not worse. That's all I can tell you about my BP. Pred will raise your BP, but I'm sure you already know that. My doc was worried about putting me on Prednisone because of this and it did go up while I was on the Pred, but it seems to be much better now that I am off of it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> My Rheumy told me that the kidneys have a significant role in control of blood pressure. Before RP my BP was always in the area off 120/75 with a pulse around 65. Since the kidney damage the BP has continued to rise -- as high as 165/102 on occasion with a pulse over 100. Some of the rise may also be due to my meds. It has finally reached the point that the doc is considering another med for high blood pressure. Because of my other vasculitis (polyanggitis) a flare can cause a weakening of blood vessels and aneurisyms so high blood pressure -- not a condition that goes well with high blood pressure. Anyone else seen changes in BP since being diagnosed? If so, do you know if you have kidney damage? Have another question for the hot-tubbers in the group. I was in the spa last night and the jets massaging my upper arms were a little painful. Arms are not tender when I squeeze them but the water massage hurts. It is not what I call " hurts good " -- it is painful enough for me to limit how long I do it. There is a similar pain from massage of hips/upper thighs. Anyone else have the same experience? Its a beautiful day in Colorado. I am going to go out an work in my garden now. H.
