,

When dealing with yeast I am following a very strict no sugar and no

yeast diet along with GFCF. Reason being is that I have not yet to implement

antifungal therapy and one of the first steps in the diet is to kill off

yeast slower that way by not feeding them. I am about ready to treat bad

bacteria in a few days then will use antifungal therapy all the while using

this strict diet. When the therapy is over I will slowly return foods. My son

will use rice flour eventually but probably once in a while. I am also lucky

cause if I told you what his diet consists of you probably would not believe

me cause he eats anything I put in front of him. Rice and potatoes convert to

sugar in the body quikly feeding those yeatsie critters so I am eliminating

rice flour cause he likes 4 other kinds that are better choices. I dont feed

him rice very much or potatoes, maybe once a week. Ps this does not

mean you are doing wrong. It's just what I chose to do since he is a 3+ yeast

overgrowth and I have done lots of reading ( besides the fact I'm an anal

mom. I think we all are or our autistic children would not get better) And I

take advantage of the fact that he is so young and not a picky eater at all.

I just want to nail the suckers the first time around!!:-)

smiling as I read the end of your letter :-)

" I am not the best or most motivated cook :) " Well........to be honest I

think that starting out strict is easier. What I think will be harder is

after the treatment incorperating different foods and making sure to rotate

them properly.

I do feed him rice, but only Once or twice a week. Potato's are done even

less. This is what I do:

I rotate these flowers in the form of pancakes ( my son is 2 and cant use a

spoon yet) buckwheat, bean flour, quiona. each day he gets a different flat

bread ( pancake) with his lunch and dinner.

I just started making poridge for breakfast and he loves it! It's easy. I

make poridge out of amaranth seed ( is the best, you can use flour) he is

allowed one peeled fruit a day( no bannana's) so I cook seed over night it

crock pot then in morning put in blender with the fruit. You can make poridge

with buckwheat too very easy and fast. I eat it too. The book I get the

simple flat bread and poridge out of is dr. crooks yeast connection cook

book. I also use an easy stew recipe my son loves.......I sneak in parsnips,

green vegtables. You can use chicken or lamb. I make a hudge pot of two

different kinds then freeze them in small containers so all I have to do is

warm it up. We make easy meat balls out of ground chicken and lamb. Last

night my on ate two bowls of black beans and rice with garlic and a tad of

salt. He loves those beans. I also take red beans and a teaspoon of rice

vinigar and mix in with rice he loves that too. broccoli is the only vegtable

I can make him eat with out sneaking it in food. But I still have to give it

too him very first with garlic and say " here is your apitizer! " he he

sometimes it takes a while but he gobbles it up . Then he gets the rest of

his meal.

so in short his diet at this time is:

Lamb

chicken

gfcf chicken dogs

rice and potato's rotated( actually we rotate all things)

buckwheat

quiona ( this is very full of good things so try your kid on it more than

one, if he can eat nuts, first try spreading very little on it. then ease him

off the nut spread. I use almond butter and had to at first with several

thing. I kept putting less and less till he didnt even notice it was not

mixed in the food.:-))

bean flour

amaranth seed( if you get the crooks cook book you can make three different

poridges)

vegtables: spinach ( I sneak those in the pancakes)

yellow onion

garlic

celery

parsnips ( I sneak in )

broccoli

lettuce (sneak)

actually I really dont think I am being sneaky cause when he was smaller I

could not get him to eat one vegtable and when I did sneak he would spit it

out and my husband and I marvled how smart he was to actually find the stuff

and chew and swollow around it!! LOL But darn it anyway! I want to feel in

control some of the time! So I will continue to think I'm smart and sneaking

the stuff. :-) I do believe when they say autistic children are very smart.

spices gfcf:

sage

dill

celery seed

majoram(sp)

oregano

salt

drinks:

dairy free ( going to not use at all while on yeast treatment)

filtered water ( he drinks tons of water)

snacks ( you know the hold him over so I can have time :-)

rice cakes ( I'm eliminating those as well for a while and searching for

something else)

I have been doing this for over a month

biotin cant hurt I am going to get it at a health food store.

I gotta run to the doctor myself by 11am they want to see if I am prego!!!

God NO!!! Ive been praying like mad. I take care of six elderly people and my

<< You do have your plate full and what a blessing it was for me to have you

explain so thoroughly what you do for your son. Thank you very much. I

think I will have to get that book becuz breakfast cereals are all corn or

rice. I am also about to begin rotating foods. I hope your Dr. appt

turned out well for you , good luck with all you have going on, and thank

you for your help!! :)

GOOD NEWS!! Not PREGO:-) but the doctor said I need to focus on one thing a

day just for me.........exercise at 5 am starting tomorrow! went to sign up

today. I hold stress in and it takes it out on my body. Got some issues and I

cant take care of anyone if I cant get myself healthy! Same for all of

you.......remember to care for you!
