Death Certificate

Hi Gang

Just a note on death certificates, I noticed some comments last week, I

think. My days are still running together a little but it's getting

better. brought me Elmer's death certificate last night and my BP

jumped about 25 points. Cause listed: a: Stroke b: Arteriosclerosis

c:_________ nothing. I was not a happy camper when I saw that. The

good Dr and I had many conversations about what this disease was and

what it had done to Elmer. Unfortunately, he didn't agree with that it

seems.

I made a copy and took it to my Dr today (the one who diagnosed Elmer)

and his reaction was the same as mine. He couldn't understand why he

didn't at least put it in the c category as caused by.

I also sent off the memorial for Elmer yesterday to Vanderbilt. I

wasn't happy about that either but decided not to argue with my

mother-in-law over it when she made the decision. She wanted the

memorials to go to new stained glass windows in the church and I wanted

it to go to research. I sent $210 to Vanderbilt and $1800 to the church

for windows. I wanted to designate all money that didn't have a

preference to Vanderbilt but was voted down.

I have taken information in to our paper and I'm hoping that our editor

will decide to run some of them to give people some idea what the

Shy-Drager Research Fund is. I have listed references and places to

find information on MSA.

Guess I just needed to spout off a little.

It's 105 here with 99% humidity in Kansas and still climbing for the

day. Hot!!
