Carol,

when you hit reply and before you type your msg  just highlight and delete what

you don't want listed any more. I want to have the previous msg on there so

people will know what you anwer. I have seen many msgs that have been answered

but I have no idea what has been said before and so I delete the whole answer

because it makes no sense to me.

I read the digest version and when I hit " reply to group " my create email

message comes up so that I can reply and it is totally blank so that there is

nothing of the former message to delete so I would think that only my message

would show up but that is not the case. It just heads up all that was previously

posted.

I just thought I don't get it because of age or brain fog.  But I am also in a

quandry as to how to cut off mesages and yet keep the message I am replying to

so that I don't forget something.  I know some three year olds that know more

about computers than I do.   Go figure!  Dolores

Perhaps if you hit the 'reply to all' option off the menu vice the 'reply to

group' at the bottom it will work? El

Dolores - The digest version is when all the e-mails of the day from

this group come to you in one e-mail rather than getting each individual

e-mail. You can go onto the group site for this group and choose

individual e-mails or digest version from a drop down menu.

Carol - When you reply on digest and you want to have the part of the

e-mail you are replying to in your message copy that part of the message

and then paste it into the new e-mail. Lmk if you need further

clarification.

I always hit the reply to all button.  Is that a good thing or should I stop

and only hit the reply.  dolores

Dolores,

Hit " reply to all " , or " reply to group " , if you want your message to go

to all the 2250 members of this list. If your message is just pertinent

to the writer of the message you are replying to hit " reply " only

I just tried it, Thank you Ute.  The older we get the more difficullt dealing

with electronic gizmos it becomes.  so, I appreciate your input.  no one had

ever explained that to me before. Now no one but you will get this answer.

because the list is set up that way. But if you scroll down, all the way

to the bottom of the e-mail you want to respond to, there is a place to

click on " reply to sender " or reply to group " That should work
