Guest guest
Carol, One suggestion I have for getting kids to take the enzymes is to get a shaker cup. You know, those plastic cups with lids that you can get at the healthfood stores. If you put his drink in that cup, add the enzymes, then put the lid on and shake it all up real good, the enzymes will disperse very well and if it is a good tasting drink he probaly will not taste it. Just pour the drink into a regular cup that he usually drinks from. Also using a straw seems to help too. I do this everyday and it works well. Might give it a go that way. Guest guest
Hi Carol Yup, we talked about the spacing problem months ago and I gave up trying to figure that problem out. Now I've got this new problem but not everyone is receiving the weird characters that seem to appear haphazardly. It's always giving something to bug me. Re: Re: cost of craft shows ?? Ditto for me, . No strange characters, just double spacing " like poetry " -remember? I remember when you first mentioned the skipped lines. Do you recall what was going on then? Guest guest
You know, I noticed that too. That¡Çs why I don¡Çt understand why the Arial font I had set up as default would be causing the problem. I still think has something to do with this whole thing. And I¡Çve always had a problem where whenever I¡Çm on a new line of an email it turns the first letter of the word into a Capital letter. I have to go back and highlight the Capital letter and change it to a small letter. Once I do that, it stays OK unless the line above it has a Capital letter correctly it makes the next line first letter a capital. I hope I said that right. Anyway, this whole system sucks!!! Re: Terri In a message dated 4/8/03 9:02:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time, jmurray2@... writes: > OK, I finally managed to find where to change the font in the default > > for my email. - I think that changes the fonts to a standard. If I use a fancy font and email someone through CNY soapmakers, and then I get a reply that shows my original message, the fancy font has been changed to a basic one like arial. Something fishy is going on > if > you ask me. Hi Carol, Make sure to copy a FERPA letter and ask for the records by saying you are getting ready for an IEP meeting. The school will have 5 days to produce the records if you specifically say that they are for an upcoming PPT but have up to 45 days to get the records to you if you do not say they' re for a meeting. Ask for a comprehensive speech evaluation by an independant consultant if you do not agree with the schools. Where exactly did the psychologist say she was regressing? If testing showed Trisha was regressing how was the school going to change there teaching methodology etc. You need to put some questions back in their corner. If they say they are not sure etc. ask for an independant education consultant to help guide the team with what would be an appropriate program for Trisha. It's all in the wording. Send in an agenda prior to your meeting. Questions that you are going to present and what you would like to see for Trisha this year. If you are organized and prepared the meeting should go well. Sometimes we do all rthe right things and just can't seem to get anywhere but these tips certainly may make a difference. I wish you luck but mostly Trisha's needs be met. Guest guest
You're right. I wouldn't even be surprised if she sells the same products but just calling it something else. I've printed out tons of her recipes and have a lot of her stuff in my cupboards, too, that I haven't tried yet. I'm real good at buying things with good intentions and then find the stuff sitting there months and months later. Of course, one of the reasons I have so much of this unused " stuff " is from the grant money I got. My rep kept pushing me to SPEND, SPEND, SPEND. So I ended up buying supplies that I figured I " might " use some day. Most of the stuff I have from The Herbarie are in powder form so I'm assuming the shelf life should be very long. Hopefully. Guest guest
Carol, I'm glad you have something for pain, but I'm sure that the Ultram doesn't quite cut it for you. I do understand about feeling like you've missed out if you don't get outside. Some days when I'm feeling especially bad, I at least go to the mailbox myself when I'm able. Sometimes I feel like a vampire because my eyes just aren't used to the daylight anymore. I pray that you won't have to be afraid of using the morphine when you need it. I understand your fear, but I also am concerned that you will try to tolerate pain needlessly. We all really missed you. You are very important to us all here...and whether or not you know it, you've impacted us all greatly....including the dynamics of the group itself. I'm sure you remember that it used to be that it wasn't allowed to post spiritual material for fear that the terrible fights that used to be on here would return. When we saw just what you were going through, and what you needed, we decided to allow spiritual material. That was because of you. --and a good thing, I think. When your computer went down, I toyed with the idea of making our group a non-profit charity so that we could accept donations and the group could buy you a new one. I found that it proved to be much more difficult to set up a non-profit than I expected. When the letters I sent were returned, I got very scared for you. You are a very special person, and I don't think you know just how incredible you are. Love, Re: Carol -yes, I have ultam and ny nurses keep morphine here for me but have only had to use it once. Guest guest
I endorse Pam's points, Carol - all of them. I have also experienced the parastheisas. My apnea is treated with C-Flex, at 13cm expiration, 10cm intake. But PA still 'buzzes' and causes sleep problems. Spiro has been blessed relief after many years of what I now regard as needless suffering. A letter of consent requesting the drug should do it. Guest guest
Hi, Carol, I have an open map in my Freedom on P1, and a louder version of that same map in P 2. P3 and P4 are the same as P1 - one with adro and one with beam. I always hated auto-sens in my 3G, and in my hearing aids for years before that. I only use whisper on my 3G for tv when I'm alone, so would rather have 2 versions of an open map to take me to my next mapping appointment each time. Hope this makes sense. ) Jackie

Guest guest
hi dee, i'm not sure what the issue about the 2nd opinions is -- whether it's $$ or some kind of surgeon loyalty or ??? my insurance will cover it completely. but when i call places that my insurance carrier tells me to call, the docs will not " do " it. i haven't taken meds for carpal tunnel -- only for inflammation a little but never with much help. the MRI's and x-rays they took after the ugly needle/electricity test showed spurs and deteriorating bones and unstable vertebrae and all the other issues that unfortunately seem to be typical to the group. i'd just like to have some assurance that if i do go through with this, it will help, and there's more than just long-term pains and meds. c Re: carol Why can't you find anyone to give a second opinion? Guest guest
Carol, that's so disgusting that they don't look at their jobs as " helping people " . All that loyalty to the others dr's, I know what you mean, cause I've seen it as a nurse. Can you call to make an appointment to see a neurosurgeon for the second opinion, but not tell them that it's for a second opinion. Just make an appointment for your symptoms, then, when you get there, show your MRI, but don't tell them what the other one said. Just say the neurologist said you should see a neurosurgeon. Sometimes I guess you have to play the game. Dee --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
