Guest guest
I ordered the glucose monitor so that I can try to get a better handle on what I'm doing with cortisol. Val, it was suggested to me on Real Thyroid that I should be stress-dosing through this Armour increase since I seem to be struggling with it some like usual. Last time I stress-dosed through an Armour increase was two weeks ago and I doubled every dose for the day and dumped that night big-time - splitting headache, high temps, sweating, very high BP for me. When I posted about it you asked why I was doubling like that without being sick. Since I seem to need the extra HC when I increase Armour, how would I stress-dose this one to give myself a chance of avoiding the massive dump? I'm on 1 3/4 grains of Armour in three doses (splitting the extra 1/4 between the first two doses) and 37.5mg of HC dosed as 12.5mg of cream at 8AM, 10mg at 11:30AM, 7.5mg at 3PM, 5mg at 6:30PM and 2.5mg of cream at bed-time around 10:30PM (staying up to watch my Buckeyes get beat by LSU tonight but about to give up on it). Assuming that I should be stress-dosing tomorrow, how much should I add? 5mg to each of the first 2 or 3 doses including doubling the cream? Doubling the cream dose is exactly how I brought on the dump last time. Thanks, > > High AM glucose in the fasting state can be in indication of either > illness or high cortiosl. Guest guest
I would add in 5MG between the first two doses ONLY. If that is not enough to handle thje Armoru increase (how much are ou increasing?) you need more HC altogether. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I was on 1 5/8 grains of Armour now I'm on 1 3/4 grains so 1/8 grain increase. I'm now on 37.5mg of HC. My temps for the four days prior to the increase were: 98.07 98.33 98.07 98.13 98.27 I increased on that last day. The day after the increase my temps dropped to 97.83 and then yesterday spiked up to 98.83. I haven't taken my first temp today, but I can tell already that I'm cooler than yesterday. When you say add " in " do you mean add " on " so take an additional 5mg with my first two doses, or take 5mg more in between those two doses which, for me, on a 3 1/2 hour dose schedule would be every 1 1/2 hours or so. Barb's husband seems to experience the same fluctuations in temps after an increase so maybe I should just expect this and hope that it evens out? Guest guest
A little mild nausea but nothing bad. Didn't sleep well last night so I'm feeling wiped out, and I'm still somewhat dizzy behind the eyes (reminds me that it's about time for some more sea salt) but the temps have dropped back down to low 98s again already. I'll keep watching them, as always, but maybe I'll be able to stick here. Thanks, > > If you are nto experienceing any other symptms than the temp > fluctuations I would say to ride it out an d I bet they stabiklize again > in a few days.
