Guest guest
Since Hashi's runs in my family, I asked my dtrs. DAN! dr. to run a thyroid panel on her. is 4yo and has a neurologic disorder called Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Free T3 373 (new pediatric reference range 337-506pg/dL) Thyroxine-Free 1.1 (new pediatric ref. range 0.9-1.6ng/dL) TSH 4.85 (new pedi. ref. range 0.50-4.30 mIU/L) This dr. said 2.0 is an optimal pediatric TSH and referred me to a pediatric endocrinologist. With FT3 on the low end of the range and TSH high, her body could be in adrenal stress right? Heading for full-blown Hashi's? Besides Hashi antibodies, what should I ask to be tested? Gosh, what a nightmare to try to treat a 4yo who can't really describe how she's feeling. Any comments on these labs or how to procede is greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Debra in CA
