Guest guest
Hello, karen chatman: Better to see an Infectious Disease specialist or parasitologist; I think this is one of those conditions that are monitored by CDC and requires notifications in addition to specialized treatments. Sooner the better. Guest guest
I have either histoplasmosis or toxoplasmosis. Admittedly, this was diagnosed some 30 years ago when I saw an ophthalmologist in Detroit, Michigan, who told me it was one or the other of the two diseases and that the difference was moot. In recent years, my present ophthalmologist says I don't have it anymore. How he knows this, I have no idea. He has never done any blood or any other sort of test. I believe he just figures that with time it all has gone away. I was concerned about donating blood and asked him if I could pass it on to a recipient; that's when he said not to worry about it anymore - that it is no longer there. Who knows? Maybe the AP could help.
