Guest guest
I should probably include my FT4 and TSH-both are low FT4 is 0.2 (0.8-1.8) TSH 0.01 Liz
Guest guest
>I just got a lot of labs results back and my RT3 is low now. > My free T3 is 368 (230-420) >and RT3 is below 5 (11-32 nl/dL) You might benefit from a little more T3, most people on T3 only do best at top of range or a little over > >Does having a low RT3 cause problems? No, that's a good thing,, the serum is clear and that gives the receptors a chance to start clearing How long have you been on T3 only? >Also, my sodium is 139 (135-146) >and my potassium is 4.6 (3.5-5.3) They look reasonable though I am not as familiar with electrolytes as thyroid >Are those numbers normal? pretty well yes > >my heart rate is still high, I am trying to start going down off of 55 mg of HC. are you going down at about 2.5 a week?? You MAY find that going up on the T3 will allow that pulse rate to go down. The FT3 says there is room to try. If you find it doesn't work then the effect of the extra wears off after a few hours if you just miss out the next dose. Are your temperatures stable on that much HC? Guest guest
Also, my sodium is 139 (135-146) >and my potassium is 4.6 (3.5-5.3) This sodium level is too low and definitly low enough to cause high pulse in some people. THIS IS why I ask folks ot post this tyoe question to the adrenals list as it is truly an adrenal question as adrenals control these two electrolytes. As it DOES also pertain to pulse which we use as a marker for T3 beign good I wil try to answer these quesitons here but do remember Nick is struggling with these adrenal type questions and has nto had adrenal issues himself. He is one of the " lucky " ones that only had severe thyroid resistance.. Sorry Nick! LOL I am talking around my tongue in cheek here. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Thanks Val I will post electrolytes on the other board Liz > > Also, my sodium is 139 (135-146) > >and my potassium is 4.6 (3.5-5.3) > > This sodium level is too low and definitly low enough to cause high pulse in some people. Guest guest
Hi Nick Thanks for answering > are you going down at about 2.5 a week?? Yes, that is my plan. I have just started tapering down. > > You MAY find that going up on the T3 will allow that pulse rate to go > down. The FT3 says there is room to try. Good point. I might try this after I go down a bit on the HC > > Are your temperatures stable on that much HC? This is a complicated answer for me, and I should probably take it to the adrenal board! LOL My temps have been basically stable, not perfect, but good enough in my mind. I am starting to gain weight and have a puffy face, so I need to go down on the HC regardless, I think.
