The chances are that unless you can cure what's stopping you taking more than 50 you will remain hypo whatever you are on. The usual culprits are Ferritin less than 70 or adrenal issues which can be proven with temperature stability checks Those are shown in the first link on this page http://thyroid-rt3.com/adrenals.htm Vitamin D levels also help, they should be at least 50 and many people are deficient. You can try T4 but the chances are whatever is stopping you tolerating T3 will cause the T4 to go to reverse T3. Guest guest
Nick, I did fix the ferritin ,from 13 to 200 with iron infusions and that's when I stopped the T4 and went on T3 only.I could not take more then 2,5mcg T3 before.I have been on 35mg HC and even 40mg HC for a bit for a 8 months. There is nothing else I can do more for that and I can't go on higher T3. That's why I thought about the T4 and T3 combo. I asked you and Val so many times what else can I do to raise the T3.Val,suggested I may be taken to high dose of HC wich is also a problem to tolerate T3, I lowered it and nothing has changed. If hit a brick wall,I tried everything and still can't go higher on T3. What else is there to do? I'm just very discouraged and thinking of other options, which I have not tried.I wish I could go on high dose of T3 but I can't. It's so conflicting because there are some big improvements compering to my life experience for 22 years on T4 only but still can't get optimal. For a first time i stopped the antidepressants from the last 3 weeks,my bowel movement is very improved too.I was on laxatives for 22 years, but how to get better then that? Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Nick, I forgot to tell you also that my vit.D was 10 and now is 50,wich is not bad. You asked about it and I forgot to add that information. Thanks Milena > > > > >Is it possible that I can be better with some T4 to the T3 ,since I can't get to the T3 dose I need.I know I can tolerate T4 the worry is if I build up a RT3? > > >Are there people after clearing the RT3 on T3 only are feeling good on T$ and T3 together? > > >Please give me your advise. > > > > The chances are that unless you can cure what's stopping you taking > > more than 50 you will remain hypo whatever you are on. > > > > The usual culprits are Ferritin less than 70 or adrenal issues which > > can be proven with temperature stability checks > > > > Those are shown in the first link on this page > > > > http://thyroid-rt3.com/adrenals.htm > > > > Vitamin D levels also help, they should be at least 50 and many people > > are deficient. > > > > You can try T4 but the chances are whatever is stopping you tolerating > > T3 will cause the T4 to go to reverse T3. > > > > Nick > > > > -- > > > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > > > www.thyroid-rt3.com > > >

Glad some things are getting better, have you tried reducinng HC at 2.5 each week until your daily average temperatures go unstable and then going back up by 2.5? You want to be on the lowest dose you can that stabilises temperature. Are you spreading the T3 thinly through the day? What are your temperatures and resting pulse like? Guest guest
>So it's all very confusing. When I worked to cover all sides for raising T3 and still can't. I don't know what the nextr step should be to be able to improve with the hypo problems. Sounds like if you can stabilise temperatures that will be the key to it all. Have you had aldosterone tested?? (needs to be done salt fasting)? Nick
Guest guest
Milena, I can really relate to wht you're going through. I m so hypo and yet cannot tolerate the T3 I need. I'll do OK on 62.5mcg for a couple of days and then get some horrible heart symptoms again (like today). I know my ferritin is low again and probably my biggest problem but you said that Val told you that TOO MUCH HC can cause you to not tolerate T3? I'm so confused since I tend to take more HC when I get these heart symptoms in hopes of it helping. I know I may have high cortisol right now but am afraid to go any lower as my adrenals have never been stable. Val or Nick care to comment on the too much HC not allowing one to tolerate T3? Thanks! in CA > > > > >Is it possible that I can be better with some T4 to the T3 ,since I can't get to the T3 dose I need.I know I can tolerate T4 the worry is if I build up a RT3?
Guest guest
, When I said " Val,suggested I may be taken to high dose of HC which is also a problem to tolerate T3 " By this comment she explained to me,that with a high cortisol, the T3 rushes into the cells to fast and gives me the hyper symptoms at the moment and the anxiety. In result of this I go from hyper to hypo and I cant really raise the T3,because of the burst I get with the anxiety. The problem is that the symptoms with low cortisol ,when the T3 is pooling the symptoms are also the same, anxiety and tension. All of that makes a lot of scense,is just so confusing and hard to figure it out, what exactly is happening. I just wish I could raise the T3 to the level my body needs it and get rid of the hypo.It is very discouraging and frustrating, since I have done everything else to be able to tolerate the T3 dose my body needs and still can't raise it. I hope I was helpful and Val may join later and explain it better. ,how is the pregnancy going? I think is you who were pregnant. I have been thinking about you and hope all is well. Guest guest
Milena, What heart-related symptoms are you experiencing? I've got a high heart rate that won't go down and even decreasing my Cynomel hasn't eliminated it. Lowering HC didn't affect it either. I know your ferritin is good, but have you had a full iron panel run recently? My ferritin is 147 but my iron is below-range low...so I must have inflammation that is falsely elevating my ferritin. I'm supplementing now, so hopefully it'll come up soon and make a difference. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 56.25mcg, HC 27.5mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 90mEq, Sea Salt 3/4tsp My Log and Labs: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com

When the pain goes away my heart muscle is soure for a day or more. It's a pain like a pressure and tightness.I can't understand what causes it and when comes is so strong that is scary. It seems that is different then your problem.I hope you figure it out soon. Good luck Milena > > Milena, > > What heart-related symptoms are you experiencing? Have you tried increasing the T3?? sometimes being hypo causes adrenaline to increase heart rate and you get a pulse reduction when you increase T3! These are my labs on 75mcg (the dose that gets my temps in the right place): 02.22.10 TSH - <0.006 L (range 0.450 - 4.500) 02.22.10 T4, Free - 0.07 L (range 0.82 - 1.77) 02.22.10 T3, Free - 6.0 H (range 2.0 - 4.4) So I don't think going higher than that is a good idea. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 137lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 56.25mcg, HC 27.5mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 90mEq, Sea Salt 3/4tsp My Log and Labs: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com
