Tetracycline drugs should not be taken if they are more than two years old.

Taking them after two years can cause kidney damage. Tetracycline, Minocycline,

and Doxycycline are tetracycline drugs.

Macrolides are a different group of drugs; for example, Erythromycin,

Azithromycin, Clarithromycin. Quinolones include Ciprofloxacin etc...

DMARD=Disease Modifying Anti-rheumatic Drug.

Hi, O'Conchubair,  I will check the labels on my Minocin bottles to make sure

they are not over two years old.  During the time I went on the MP, I also took

Minocin along with Clindamycin and Zithromycin.  So, I have taken Macrolides,

What is the exact thing that Macrolides do that Tetracyclines don't do?  Also,

under what category does clindamycin fall under.  At this stage with my ANA at

0 and the RF at 0, what should I be taking and how much of it should I be taking

and for how long.  Dolores.
