I would try 20,000IU vitamin D. What happened to your tonsil surgery

that was to happen in FEBRUARY? Picking at them can be very dangerous

and is most likly the cause of oyur illness. You should nto raise T3

while ill, You shoudl boost HC with 10-20mg HC when oyu first feel ill.

I'll take more D3! As well as more C?We had to delay the tonsils due to my trip to Belgium on Monday. Didn't wanna go there with wounds in my throat. I'm going to the GP today. Yeah, it was stupid of me to pick at them like that. But I've picked out those white things for like 7 years now! I'm used to it...Ok, T3 stays. I will get FT3 today. Ok I'll do 10 mg extra HC now. Just, any time in the day, or?

I was actually picking at the skin fold coverin the tonsils. That skin arch. On my right side, this skin has gotten thicker from old scar tissue. I have deep canyons (as I call them) in both tonsils, and in both sides of the arch skin covering the tonsils. I promise to take care of them. I just didn't want to do it before my trip to Hertoghe - Worried I could be too weak for the travel. AND LOOK AT ME NOW!!!!!! Hahaha.... God I'm an idiot, but who knew I could get sick now!?!?As for picking in there, I have really picked CAREFULLY in there, daily, for 8 years. To remove the white smelly dots to prevent further problems. I went to specialists over and over and they said I should not fix my tongils. After 8 years, and 4-5 specialists, FINALLY one guy says "they are horrible and SHOULD be fixed!" - I am going to him this month to take care of

business.Expect a lot of worried questions before my operation.Right now I am worrying about my current condition. It stings in my heart area and my pulse is closer to 100. I am starting APOCILLIN 660 mg now. Hi ,

When I was in my thirties I was having recurrent Strep Throat. We would treat with antibiotics and within a couple of months I would get it again. This went on for almost two years. I probably had strep throat 6-8 times during this period. Finally my Gyn suggested testing the whole family and we found that my children were carrying the strep virus and repeatedly giving me the bug. Anyway, he put the whole family on antibiotics and I have not had Strep since that time. Where I'm going with this story is that I too had the same little white areas within the crevaces of my tonsils since they went through a beating during that time. I've dealt with them for years also. BUT, what is totally weird is that since starting on T3 only back in probably May 2009 this problem is gone! I have not had this for almost a year now. I really don't know if this tonsil

stuff is yet another weird symptom of being hypo and resistant but I suppose you might notice as you continue that this might diminish. I'm not saying that you should not go ahead and get your tonsils removed. By all means if they are infected and causing constant distress then you need to get them removed. Probably horrible for your adrenals. I just thought since you had to wait to do the surgery you might pay attention to this as you continue increasing your T3. I'm sort of curious myself.

Hey ,Thanks for your reply, it was an interesting read! You know.. I really felt good on T4-only for almsot 10 years (added T3 to T4 in the last 4 years of those 10 years though) - My health didn't start to detoriate until 2007, but by then, I had been walking around with bad tonsils for like 4-5 years already.The theory:I am pretty sure the chronically infected tonsils made my adrenals go nuts, which finally gave up after those years, this made my T3 pool in my blood, giving me heart issues with tachycardia every night around the new year 2007/2008, and finally fibrillation/flimmer, which could've killed me. My sky high FT3 of 16 went down after an endo removed my T3-medication. Which again made me get the worse pressure in my head EVER, and it lasted and lasted, all through 2008 - not a day without

it, not an our, not a minute without it. It drove me nuts. The endo tried to "ween" me off the T4, leaving me with NO thyroid meds.. I stopped the attempt after 1 1/2 years of slow weening. I added HC to my regime in June 2009, and went onto T3-only in December 2009. I am currently at 65 mcg T3 and 35 mg HC, and here I am. Feeling like I'm infected, which I am - And it's probably due to the adrenals, like said. I might get well when T3 is increased, but maybe not - Cause I felt well for many years with T4 only AND had a lot of recurring sinus/throat infections at the same time. I believe I must laser operate my tonsils and the skin folds covering them (never remember the name for that skin arch in the mouth - anyone?) and I'll be healthier! This is really my belief! We'll see what Hertoghe says in a few days... Flying to Belgium on Monday! (I do live in Norway, only 2 hours away by plane, so...)BTW: My GP did a strep test

today. Negative. But whites and stuff were high...I'm happy to hear about your familys success health-wise! Everything good with all of you?

Well I think that you have already made significant progress and it will only get better once you extract those tonsils. Your adrenals will be able to breathe a sigh of relief as well. I envy your trip to Belgium to see Dr. Hertoghe. Heck I envy that you live in beautiful Norway and are only two hours away from Belgium. Anyway, please let us know how things go with your visit. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about your situation.

My twenty three year old daughter unfortunately has also been plagued with Hypo/Hashi's thyroid too. Her adrenals are good for now but she stresses way too much about things. I think that is inherant in people like us, kind of like the OCD thing. I keep telling her that she will destroy her adrenals if she doesn't calm down and take things a day at a time. Life is not worth the constant stress. But I did the same thing when I was her age. I just hope she will listen to me since she has seen how different I have been these past few years.
