If it wasn't FDA approved, then how could a major radio network legally do a feature story on it? Wouldn't that be a huge risk for the radio station? I don't know... I'm sure all the FDA stuff will be covered during the show... like I said, I need some knowledgeable people to actually listen to this interview and tell me their opinions. From what I have heard before, the Power Hour show takes live phonecalls on the air too, but I really don't know what I would ask... I just simply don't know enough to ask the right questions! This thing has my curiosity burning though. HELP! & nne Svihlik wrote: OJ, If this is considered an alternative

treatment and NOT approved by the FDA, and I would check to be sure it was approved before trying it, then I wouldn't do it. Its always best to check with the oncologist. I had 3 friends with better prognosis than mine that went off of chemo to try an alternative and they all died within the year leaving behind 9 children between them. I did relaxation and visualization during chemo but that was just listening to tapes. I have spent the afternoon reading your posts, and I have

to say that you guys' courage is nothing less than astounding! (I am still trying to get a hold of my aunt so I can ask if she knows more to tell me... I will pass that on as soon as I find out. ) But right here is where I guess I'll ask my first ignorant question: Most of the posts I've read seem to revolve around the dreaded chemo and radiation, and all the crap that you guys have to endure during the treatment (MAN!)... Has anyone in the group ever tried anything else?... IS THERE anything else? Does CANCER=CHEMO? Or is that the only way out? The main reason I'm asking is because the strangest thing happened today as I was browsing the web... I picked up this radio show on a streamcast -- that said they are running a live phone-in interview this Friday morning, with some kind of new breast cancer treatment... and they said it's supposed to be an alternative to chemo. I think it's some kind of laser thing. Anyway, this show is

called the "Power Hour" and it's on in the mornings, on GCN Radio... the stream link is on the main page at www.gcnlive.com Have any of you ever heard of anything like this, or tried it ? It sounds too good to be true... all I know is I gotta hear this one. It's just weird, I guess "I was meant to hear it," because before a few days ago, this was just not a topic in my everyday conversation. I wanted to let the group know so that maybe some of you with more knowledge could listen to the show and give me your INFORMED opinions about it. I know I'm going to listen, but I really need someone who "knows something" to check it out and give me their opinions. They run the show live, and I think it's at 8 AM central. So if some of you could check it out and tell me what you think, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks. -OJ Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. I truly don't know about the legalities of talking about things not approved by the FDA. The best bet is ALWAYS ask the oncologist. They are supposed to be up on the latest treatments.
