I figured my rt3 ratio as 6.1 and wanted someone to double check my math. Free t3 2.6 (2.3-4.2 pg/ml) Free t4 1.3 (0.7-1.5 ng/dl) TSH 3.08 (0.44-5.00) Reverse t3 427 (90-350 pg/ml) Can I assume the worse your ratio the higher you will need to go on t3 meds? I also asked my dr. to run some hormone labs. One of the labs I requested was free and total testosterone. He wrote the scrip for total testosterone. Will this also give me the free results? Or is doing jusr the total suffcient? Thank you to all of you out there giving your time to help people like me! S

Guest guest
The Free testosterone test is the more important one. The Free test is needed in addition to the Total. That's a borrible ratio, your sums are correct. You will need to go T3 only and may well end up feeling hypo still until you clear the resistance though will hopefully feel a lot better just bringing the FT3 to the top of the range. Are you on straight T4 to end up with labs that look that hypo?? Have a read through hhere www.thyroid-rt3.com and feel free to ask questions Nick
