Guest guest
Hi , No they never did say what caused Mike's ITP. They said to tell all the relatives to get checked especially the children. I don't think they ever did. The kids are grown women. We told them, but don't think they took the docs seriously. They said it was heredity. Who knows? That was in 1991. And yes, we feel the splenectomy was also a huge mistake. It nearly killed him. He stroked, lost his foot to amputation and lives with pain constantly from damaged nerves when they put the tubes into his pancreas which they nicked during the surgery. Mike always gets rashes all over his body also. Doctors have looked at it, but nobody seems to pinpoint the cause. Yes, I went into remission after 18 months of A/P Minocin. I continued the minocin and stopped in Sept because I planned to do the Marshall Protocol in Oct. I started on Oct 15, 2007. I should be starting the second phase in about another week or two. The Marshall Protocol is to induce herxing. It is supposed to be the cure. We shall see when I am done with all 3 phases. It is more involved than A/P alone and is also another form of A/P. they also use minocin in low doses and pulsed rather than taking it daily. In phase 2, I will start some other antibiotics. It's a journey I am willing to take to get rid of this disease for once and for all. I think Mike needs to go on A/P also. Will make an appointment with my Rheumatologist. I see him in June again. Holy Mackeral. 22 surgeries. What's left? I'm sorry to hear about your health issues too. Keep in touch. It has forever changed my body's ability to fight infection. But, I was in my early twenties and was ill enough to not fight my mom and the docs in their " so-called cure " for ITP. Did they ever find out what caused Mike's ITP? You have said, I think, that your scleroderma went into remission for a time. Right?? I feel my big battle has always been with the Lyme. I had surgery a couple of weeks ago to correct boutenniere deformity of another finger, and my biggest battle has been the ensuing rash over approx. 1/3 of my body. I am now either allergic to the antibiotic they gave (encept/anceft?) or the anesthetic after 22 surgeries. **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
Hi Dolores & Mike: I'll be re-starting AP after a Feb 15 appointment with a Tulsa doctor I expect (hope???) will prescribe it. I know this is an AP board, but I am interested (for the future, not right away) in the Marshall Protocol. Could you e-mail me privately about it? Thanks, mike rosner <martysfolks2004@...> wrote: Hi , No they never did say what caused Mike's ITP. They said to tell all the relatives to get checked especially the children.
