Hi Kathy,

I currently take 20mg Arava daily and have for about 4-5 months. I am finding

that I'm losing a bit of hair(hoping folic acid will stop that!), but no other

bad effects. I feel better this winter than I have since I was diagnosed in

April 2008. I do think the Arava has helped me feel better. I don't like taking

any anti-rheumatic, but have found this to be the least offensive for me. I am

going to explore the idea of an Infectious Diseases doc with my rheumatologist

when I see him in two weeks.

History:

I was diagnosed with RA in April 2008. I also take 100mg generic Minocycline

daily, and am tapering off Prednisone (at 2.5mg currently).

Could not tolerate Methotrexate. Allegic to Plaquenil.
