Guest guest
I was having a lot of trouble with racing heart and strong pounding and tightness in my chest. I couldn't tolerate increases in T3 above about 20 mcg per day. In the last week, I have stopped caffeine altogether -- I didn't drink that much -- 2 cups per day, but have seen a dramatic change in my ability to tolerate increases. I am now up to 37.5 mcg per day and am 6 weeks into T3 only. My heart problems (along with tightness in chest) have all but stopped. I hope this could be helpful. This is what I used to get more frequently years ago when I had more anxiety and I still get now sometimes when I'm anxious about something.I do think it's more of an adrenaline thing, as I had a bad heart pounding session in the night a couple of weeks ago, B4 even starting this medication, due I think to a couple of things coming up a few days later.Maybe this is happening now because I'm anxious with this medication?I dunnoSandy>> When folks are very hypothyroid T3 does nto last long it is quickly used > up so more frequent dosing may be needed due to that.
