Guest guest
I know that this has come up before, but are we sure that the dextrin in BK Fries is OK? My son used to like them, but since going GFCF (it's been almost a month now) he wants them EVERY DAY. This has me very suspicious and worried. I am leaning toward not getting them, but my mom thinks I'm being paranoid and that the poor kid just wants something he likes. What do you all think? Guest guest
I also wonder about cross contamination there, because they have onion rings. Many times in my bag of fries I have gotten a stray onion ring, or in my onion rings there are some fries. Even if they are not fried together, they might be dumped into the same bin where they put them to bag them up.
Guest guest
Hi Mae Lynn, not sure where you live, but this was posted to the list awhile back. It might be helpful, although, your best bet will be to call the restaurant that you go to, and ask the manager as sometimes, one store in a chain may have different practices than another in the same chain. Also be sure to ask if all the fat from all the fryers is mixed together at the end of the day, or if they are dedicated fryers. Make sure to ask if the fries are dusted with flour and/or spices, because you would then have to determine if the spices are okay!!! ~Kim ....This is excerpted from http://www.penny.ca/Fry.htm These apply to Canadian outlets...US may be different. (may be different from store to store as well) This is ONLY a GF list and is only a general guide. It's always best to ask your local outlet manager. A & W Not GF Wheat Starch added July 98.
