Guest guest
Whats your ferritin level ? Sky To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, 9 March, 2010 6:17:29 PMSubject: Problem! need help here Hi.I am very desparate and need your help.I found out I have very high RT3 - 52 (9-32). So I started to take some compounded SR T3 from a local fharmacy. I make my heart palping in a scary way, raised my pulse to 100 and my temp. to 37c. So I stopped.Thought it could be because of loe cortisol and did a saliva test. Found out I actually do have low cortisol. Started to take Isocort HC from a local pharmacy and some adrenal herbs. This also made my heart palp in a scary way, so after a few days I stopped. What am I suppose to do now? So desperate here! Please help! How much were you taking, if it's the wromg amount then it can be worse. What were the results and ranges of the saliva test. Did you lower the T3 first nefore starting the Isocort? > >What am I suppose to do now? So desperate here! Please help! What you were meant to do was check temperatures and add adrenal support until they stabilise and then add T3 slowly after making sure Feritin is OK. http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Talks about the prechecks and dosing. Have a read through here http://thyroid-rt3.com/ It's a summary of the main things discussed in this group. Low Sodium can cause a fast pulse as well. Guest guest
But once I added some adrenal support my heart start hurting! Don't think that is a good sign. I started taking 5 mcg compound t3. Maybe cynomel will work better for me. But the adrenal stuff bothers me more, cause the test came back really low. The HC I took was compund. Maybe one who is not compound will work better? Do some of you use herbal adrenal support? > > > > >I am very desparate and need your help. > >I found out I have very high RT3 - 52 (9-32). Were you on any thyroid meds apart from the T3? have you graphed temperatures the way I sent you the link for? As Val says Join the Adrenals group, get that right, and then think about the Thyroid issues Nick
Guest guest
Were you taking the HC/Isocort along with the adrenal support supplements? Maybe you were getting TOO much. If your cortisol levels were low, I would just use the HC. The Adrenal group will be re-opened after a week off (moderators' break), and one of the moderators will be able to help you with your cortisol results along with how to dose the HC. Your body can't handle the T3 if your adrenals are low and/or your ferritin level is below 70. So you will want to get your ferritin and a complete iron panel done to rule that out. You will also want an electrolyte panel done so you can see where your sodium/potassium levels are as those, too, can cause rapid heart beat.
