Guest guest
I have elevated IGF-1, which I believe is related to GH (and is the test normaly used to asses GH levels). I have no idea why... I just " discovered it " some two months ago going through some blood test results of few months ago. I think my doctor believes is related with PCOS, but I have to ask him. I got that high result when I was taking T4 medication, sometime ago. I don't know if things have changed since going through Armour and now T3 (in my 11th week). > > Good morning, I'm wondering if you know whether an elevated HGH level has anything to do with taking thyroid medication. Ive been on cytomel since september and no longer have rt3, but my endo called me yesterday to say I have an elevation in human growth hormone. Anything you might know is greatly appreciated. Thank you. > > Lore >

Guest guest
Thanks for your response . I actually spoke with my doctor yesterday afternoon and since I've been on Reglan for my stomach, it may be the cause for the increase in Human Growth Hormone. I have to retest while not taking Reglan for a few days and I hope that proves to be the case but thank you for your response! Guest guest
It depends on age (and maybe sex, that I don't remember), mine was around 400 and I think the uper limit for my age (41) was around 200 (I don't have the labs in from of me, so don't trust this numebers very much). > > How high is high? >
Guest guest
That is a little high. 300 is probably best for adults. I think teenage boys hit around 600. I wouldn't worry about it. My IGF was 66 last year at 38 years old--now that's sad. My doctor said it's the level of a 95 year old. Guest guest
Does anyone know whether this medication can be used specifically to raise HGH? (off label use) K Re: elevated human growth hormone To: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 8:24 AM Â It depends on age (and maybe sex, that I don't remember), mine was around 400 and I think the uper limit for my age (41) was around 200 (I don't have the labs in from of me, so don't trust this numebers very much). > > How high is high? >
Guest guest
Lore, this new dr I am going to ....said I should ABSOLUTELY read 2 SPECIAL books. the 1st one I read was " Sex,Lies and Menopause " ...and I got it. remember reading that " something " caused this very same thing....and it concerned me because I also have too a high IGF-! If i remember correctly. BUT...I cant remember WHERE in the book where I saw it. and exactly WHAT caused it guess I'll have to read it all over again. I DO remember it was NOT good...but don't remember why.....sigh..old age is the pitts! I would have thought that would be a good thing...if I re-discover it...I'll try to remember to share. I do however take a HUGE amount of various supplements....but think that the cause had something to do with menopause. C.
