If your breasts get tender you can be sure estriogen is going too high.

Otherwise I would test estrogen in abotu a month.

Hi Miriyum

You could take DIM supplements to block estrogen conversion. Are you hoping the

DHEA will convert to testosterone? You might want to go the more direct route

and supplement it, because I so think DHEA partially turns into estrogen. If you

are on high T3 and have high SHBG, though, the estrogen will get bound up by

that.

converted into estrogen?

Ultrasound so far indicates it has remained stable in size in the past year.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Val, my breasts always get tender between ovulation and menstruation, then is

relieved once I get my period.

do you think I should take DIM?

I am supplementing testosterone a week already.

Today is day 3 on DHEA.

I'm on 75 cytomel and 42.5 hc.

When does estrogen peak?

What time of month should I do labs? test for all free sex hormones?

I've been getting my period every 21 days lately, so not sure which day would be

best to test. I can do the ovulation test to see when I ovulate, will that help

me in determining the right time to test hormones?

thank you so much for your help in sorting this out.

When you say 'tender' do you mean painful?

Mine become painful (between ovulation and menstruation) when progesterone

peaks and I believe it's because my body tends to retain water at that time. It

is evident on the scale (I gain two-three pounds before my period and lose the

two-three pounds when I get my period) so I'm thinking the painful breasts is

due to water retention in the breast tissue.

thanks again for your generous help!

I am wondering whether the DHEA is causing severe water retention?

I can no longer tolerate high hc, I am now down to 40 hc and even this amount

felt too much for me today. (but scared to drop too many milligrams too

suddenly; I will lower to 35 in a day or two.)

I have excessive thirst, and lips are more dry than usual, and the water

retention is visible on my cheekbones. I'm on 75 t3 and will raise to 80 in

about three days.

My main concerns now are the severe water retention and excessive thirst. I

think the hc is causing me to retain all this water, but I'm not sure. It is

affecting my vision as well, so I think maybe the water retention is pressing on

nerves in my head. My sinuses are terribly swollen as well.

could DHEA be responsible for any of this?

are there certain foods I can eat that will act as an anti-diuretic?

thanks a whole lot!

I think estrogen peaks at ovulation, around day 14 or 15?

Most people do their tests around the luteal phase of the cycle, around day

21...
