Guest guest
Hello, We already know that: " the general inability of antibiotics to kill mycoplasmas, despite the fact that they may suppress their growth, is one of the reasons why eradication from the host tissues is often slow. " Besides that we have: " Resistance of M. hominis to tetracyclines probably assumes more importance because of the widespread use of these drugs for genital tract infections, and in some areas the frequency of resistant strains has increased to 30% or more. The reason for this, apparently, is the acquisition of a streptococcal tetM gene. " And yet: " It is noteworthy that strains of M. hominis known to be resistant to various tetracyclines because of the TetM determinant have been shown to be as susceptible to the glycylcyclines (new tetracycline derivatives) as the tetracycline-susceptible strains; " I found this at: Antibiotic susceptibilities of mycoplasmas and treatment of mycoplasmal infections http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/content/40/5/622.abstract -- Renato
Guest guest
Thank you so much. I did try tetracycline early this year without a result of any kind. I am allergic to erythromycin but that is also a good antibiotic for hominis. I just wrote to Ethel and asked her for her list of myco susceptible antibiotics. Renalto.I am so sorry to ask this but not being from brazil I am not familiar with names. Are you male of female? I hope I have not offended. cooky From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of Renato Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2010 6:28 PM rheumatic Subject: rheumatic M. Guest guest
Hi Cooky! This is Dolores. The Spanish and Brazillian languages are all in genders. If a name ends in O, the the female equivalent would end in A. As in Renaldo or Renalda. I think I am safe in guessing that Renaldo is a male. Am I correct Renaldo?  Dolores From: Cooky Stonkey <cookee1@...> Subject: RE: rheumatic Re: M.
