Guest guest
I have a friend recently diagnosed with PMR and of course her rheumy has her on prednisone. Can this autoimmune disease be treated by AP - Minocin? Has anyone used AP for PMR?
Guest guest
It all depends on what organisms are attacking the body and causing the diseas or diseases. That is why it is so important to get the blood tested thoroughly for all (L) forms of bacteria, viruses, Strep, Lyme and fungus, etc. Checking for the antibodies is not enough. there is a special lab, I think in Florida that does this type of testing. Once you isolate the offending organism, then find a good infectious disease doc who can order the best antibiotic to use. Any antibiotic especially those of the tetracycline family will weaken the (L) forms type of bacteria which have no cell walls, when taken at a low dose over a long period of time. Of course, you may also be infected with other forms of bacteria, viruses or fungus as well. So, it is best to know the enemy well before starting your attack back. Knowing all this will help you & your doc put you on the correct path to wellness. Once you are on the antibiotics, you will be on A/P. No matter which antibiotic or set of antibiotics you have to use. My best to you in your search.  From: marthabedford <jemkbedford@...> Subject: rheumatic polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) rheumatic Date: Friday, March 18, 2011, 12:36 PM  I have a friend recently diagnosed with PMR and of course her rheumy has her on prednisone.
