Carol, thank you...so very much for your email. Appreciate your help. Will let

you know. Hugs, Debbie

medicare abuse

Dear Mr. Ross,

I and many other people have medicare because of physical problems. One

person in particular, Debbie Gibson, wrote to you concerning her abuse. It

is titled Abuse of Medicare Patients by Indianapolis Indiana Hospital. She

is living because of a treatment she receives there. The hospital is now

billing her for past (years) treatments instead of billing the proper people

and medicare is at the bottom of it all.

I am concerned for her because I too have had Medicare " irritation " and have

not being able to get anyone there to help me. I now pay a penalty for not

starting medicare at the exact time it was offered because my husband was

getting my health insurance at the time thru his work but was retired. I

even wrote to my state representative who said they could do nothing for me.

Debbie will have to pay an enormous price because of this hospital and the

stress is making her health condition worse. Please do something to help

her.

Sincerely,

Ester Stonkey from Pennsylvaia

Hi all, I got the same reply when I sent my letter.  I'm not surprised that this

might get swept under the carpet.  The corruption arm stretches far and wide.

Medical care crisis is but a small part of the greater scene.  But, we will

continue to fight for our rights.  I agree with Cooky, get a lawyer.  There are

some who do pro-bono for the publicity.  Dolores & Mike

That was quick! I just got this back from them!!

By the way...if this problem you have is not politically correct " for them "

they will file it in the garbage. The press is not really for the public.

When I was working and the nurses were in negotionations( sp) for our work

contract and the county was skrewing us I talked to a reporter in person and

wrote letters and they never wrote about it or had it on the news because it

was the county government.

I would still se an attorney who has only YOU and not the government that is

paying their wage.

Hi Debbie,  I just read all the replies and have put them into my book folder.

This will become a chapter of abuse in my book.  If anyone else sends in info,

please forward to me at martysfolks2004@....   Thanks, we need to expose

Cooky, LOL I am so sorry, I always do that, I have a friend named Carol

Stonkey..so I just think of you as Carol all the time...LOL so sorry and thank

you again Cooky! for emailing...I think lots of emails asking them to look into

this can only benefit all Medicare patients...can you imagine, if other

hospitals are trying to do the same thing to Medicare patients all over this

country??

Yep, going to contact Legal Aid as well...Thanks everyone for sending those

emails. I think the more they get, they just might want to take a look at what

the hospital is doing re Medicare benefits.

If you lived in Houston, TX there are always Marvin Zinder's angel to help out.

He passed away, but people here have kept up with helping other people that

needed help like you. Eva

Other hospitals and labs and all sorts of health facilities are scamming

medicare.  That's why our premiums continue to rise.  Medicare only finds out

about it when they get caught.  That's why we have to stay on top of our

statements, question everything and document it all.  I know, we are supposed to

be getting R & R.  That is exactly why they prey on the elderly and feeble.  We

must all stay very alert and do what Debbie did.  Bravo Debbie!~~~Dolores & Mike
