Hi Surabhi, These diseases are not considered curable, but they are treatable.

Many people have reached remission (that is a state where the disease is no

longer advancing) and some gain back their mobility. The drug of choice seems

to be Minocin. It is an antibiotic. There are other antibiotics that are also

used. But you must be completely weaned off of all immune suppressants for it

to work. It takes a very long time to get well, so one must be very patient and

take the medication as prescribed. You'll need to do a lot of testing as well.

The first step is to google everything you can on A/P antibiotic therapy. Go to

Amazon.com and look up books by Mac Pherson Brown and Henry Scammell to

familiarize yourself with A/P. Then find a doctor who will treat you with A/P

for the long run, not just 6 months worth. (This is the difficult part) You

will need to research the part of the country you live in or be prepared to

travel far to find a doc who is

compliant. Meanwhile find a doc close to you who will start you on the road to

being weaned of the toxic drugs you are one. They are a one way trip to hell.

They make you feel better initially, but in the end, they will kill you faster

than the disease. Also, try getting information on this site re: A/P. Also go

to the Roadback.org site and read all you can on MCTD. Maybe some refined

testing will come up on which of these connective tissue diseases is the most

prevalent in your body. Also google up Micoplasmas and " The Infectious Theory "

developed by Dr. Brown. You have a lot of research to do and it will take up

all your days. There is much to learn. Good luck to you, ~~~~Dolores & Mike

Some people get cured on the AP. Then they stick to a strict diet and have

a normal life. They eat healthy, take good supplements, and do a lot of body

cleanses. How quickly you start feeling better is up to the individual and

also how long standing the disease is. Some people it is not long at all to

receive remission. Ethyl Snooks is one of those people who follows a good

diet and does all the right things and is now in her 80's and very spry. She

no longer takes minocin. She does healthy things. She is one of the

leaders/founders of this group. Some people need a variety of ABX to get well.

This

kills the many flavors of mico's Stay positive. You will get the victory.

Keep up the good fight and have faith. I am 10 yrs into the ABX and I was

dying when I started. I have a great life. I juice everyday veggies and try

to follow all the rules. It works. Judy Duncan
