Beth, have you tried to make an appointment at his Dalton, Georgia office?

rheumatic So frustrated with Dr. S

I am looking for a new doctor. I am in Alabama, but I drive to Chattanooga

to see Sentef. Well, when I was there in May, he told me to make an appt.

for a three month check. When I went up front they said they didn't have the

schedule so to call in June. I called in June and was told still no

schedule, call back in July. I called July 1 and was told that he was booked

" months and months in advance " and there was no way to get an appt for

August. I am calling back every day leaving messages for his wife, who does

his scheduling. It makes me mad b/c I need refills, check up and blood work

to make sure my liver is ok, etc.

I don't know of any other doctors in this area though. I'm willing to drive

up to 4 hours though. Is there any other doctors that anybody can suggest?

I like Dr. Sentef as a person and he is a good doctor WHEN YOU CAN SEE HIM!

I don't find this to be good practice though--to prescribe meds for people,

say you need to see them back and then not see them. The receptionist told

me he will only schedule 10 patients a day a couple days a week and that's

why he gets backed up.

I have been seeing Dr. Meyerson in Atlanta, and I really like him

AND his staff; they always call back that same day and they'll fit me

in (which is very different from the rheumy I've had for 11 years

before that!!). Where are you in Atlanta?

Thank you, .  I am actually in Alabama, but I wouldn't mind driving to

Atlanta (it's about 4 hours) if I can't find anybody closer.  I like Dr. S. I

just wish he were a little better about actually seeing his patients.

What protocol does he have you on, if you don't mind me asking?

Sorry; I meant where are you in Alabama. Honestly, I only recently

went to see him because I was so frustrated with my doctor and I

wanted some fresh information--to see if he said anything different.

I just saw him for a consultation and then check up so far ( I was

considering trying to get pregnant). He was open to more than my

previous doctor, like b-12 injections and some supplements. I am

currently on Plaquenil and doxycycline; the doxycycline has helped a

LOT. I am currently looking into Naltrexone which I'm very excited

about. Dr. Meyerson doesn't prescribe that, though, and I've started

seeing a more holistic doctor in addition for MORE testing and to

start on that. I got ALL my vit, minerals, adrenals and hormones

tested and they're fixing what's off. Interesting stuff!

of info on how people are doing with it at the Roadback site.

page. Lynne

Oh, thanks!!! I'm familiar with the roadback page, but did not even

know there was an LDN section, I'll check it out!!

If you can find a more progressive doctor to test you on everything, I

think they'd be more familiar with LDN and other

alternative treatments.

Good luck with or without the Naltrexone!
