.. I went right down there and took her to the ER, fearing perhaps some kind of "mini-stroke" or something. They did all kinds of tests, including a CT Scan, blood work, and she was seen by the Neurology team. After about 4 hours, they finally decided it was not any kind of stroke, but something called "radial nerve compression". May have been caused by something as simple as sleeping on it wrong. By late yesterday afternoon she was getting back some of the feeling/use of that arm/hand, but it's still not completely back. They fitted her for a wrist splint to wear for the next several weeks and sent her home. THey expect it will "come back"

bless her heart! that is so strange - i contacted my primary md last week because my left hand & fingers keep going numb or feeling like I had hit my "funny bone." they wanted to know if i was having any chest pain. it is not like that all the time, so probably just the same type of problem. glad it was nothing more serious. thanks so much for keeping us updated - i miss seeing what she has to say. maybe she can dictate some email to you???

tell her i miss her. debbie (ark)
