-Your recommendation is that I STOP supplementing DHEA/preg and iodine? I have taken DHEA in the past with no issues. Testosterone did come out on the low side which is why he suggested the DHEA supp (total testosterone 26ng/dL of 2-45 and free 2.4pg/mL of 0.1-6.4).

YES. When a person is low in cortiosl hormone conversions that are supposed to happen inthe body do not seem t work correctly. I have NEVER seen Pregnenolone increase cortisol, and iodine stimulates the htyroid to produce more T4 which goes to higher RT3 adn DHEA usually causes high estrogen and does nothelp th elow testostero9e it is meant to help. It is much better to actually supplement the END hormones you need like cortilsl and testosterone. >

Sorry I need to se your electrolyte labs to start recommending how much and I cannlt remember what htey were, btu if I suggested supplementing, they are low. Salting food ias often not enough whne we have weak adrnelas which tend to make us salt wasters. I woudl start addingin an additional 1/2tsp twice a day in water. As for potassium, if it si actulaly low in range, you will need MUCH more than 100mg to bring it up and food sources you just could nto eat enough to raise it, for example I take 7500mg daily. Most food sources of potassium are high in carbs so ther eis no way I could eat that much potassium 9in food or OTC supplements so I get SR potassiumin 20mEq tablets from Canada. They are nto prescription ther3. 20mEq eqals 1500mg , I would suggest you start with 10mEq which is abotu 650mg and retest in a couple weeks.

This should be a good iron dose as I generally recommend 150-200mg elemental iron daily.

If you are not havign issues wiht it, it is fine, Either one if oyu are haivng problems you wil definitly know it.

These wil not hurt your body in anyway btu I just have doubts that this is ENOUGH adrenal support for you and thin you may need more HC btu as you say you asre nto havign issues wiht it, it is certainly worth trying.

Val, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :-)

-off the DHEA and iodine as of now.

-Started with the salt in the water yesterday and YUCK but ok, if that's what I

need to do. For reference my numbers were...

sodium 136 (135-146mmol/L)

potassium 3.8 (3.5-5.3 mmol/L)

chloride 102 (98-110 mmol/L)

CO2 19 (21-33 mmol/L -> my carbon dioxide has been consistently low for years.

Any thoughts why?)

calcium 9.8 (8.6-10.2 mg/dL)

protein total 7.3 (6.2-8.3 g/dL)

(not sure if that is all you need or too much for electrolites!)

-will look into ordering some potassium or seeing what is available here. I

understand there is a powdered form that can provide a LOT more than pills.

-Excellent on both the T3 and the HC. I will continue to post results after my

next labs.

Again, MANY MANY MANY thanks.
