You know, it looks like your doctor is right and the antibody test means you

are now immune but if the antigen was positive that would be a concern.

" The hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) is the most common test. Its

presence indicates previous exposure to HBV, but the virus is no longer

present and the person cannot pass on the virus to others. The antibody also

protects the body from future HBV infection. In addition to exposure to HBV,

the antibodies can also be acquired from successful vaccination. This test

is done to determine the need for vaccination (if anti-HBs is absent), or

following the completion of vaccination against the disease, or following an

active infection. "

So, at least you can relax on that one, lol.

This is where I read about having the antibodies present within you.

I AM wondering though if you WILL always have antibodies against the

virus, or if they would subside...that it doesn't say...I'll look

deeper into it tommorrow.
