I had been told my RT3 was gone 2 months or so ago and returned to NT treatment

using Erfa. I was on 2 grains for 8 weeks and then increased to 2 1/5 grains for

one week before stopping and taking only 1 grain for a few days before this lab.

I did that because I was getting scary heart symptoms.

RT3: 205 (90-350)

Ft3: 2.8

Ft4: .90 (.82-1.77)

Ferritin: 62

D: 54.8

DHEA: 38

Cortisol: 19 (took my 5mg dose before test)

Free cortisol: 1.9 (0.2-1.8)

Estradiol: 15

Progsterone 0.3

Testosterone free -0.2

Do I have reverse T3 issue again. Waiting to get phone consultation with my

doctor on how to proceed.

Ratio 13.65 YES you have RT3 issues again. Your Ferritin is to lwo and wil

lcause this as well as I am not sure you cleared it from the RECEPTORS. It takes

12 weekson T3 onyl not just being gone from the BLOOD. It must also leave the

receptors which happens long after it si out of the blood.

Then since this has happened to me twice while on NT, then maybe it's safe to

say that I am a poor converter right now, and maybe should by on T3 only?

When I was on a little NT but 37.5mcg of Cytomel, my RT3 level was much lower

and my FT3 higher too and my ratio was normal, so my doctor put me back to NT.

I will ask him about this if I get the phone consult.

It can't be adrenal as my temps are normal and stable even with this RT3 issue.

Since being on 2 grains of Erfa my temps have been 98.6 most every day, but

while I was on higher T3 for awhile, my temps were not stable and not near

normal either.

Thank you .

My Ferritin had gone up while I was on Cytomel. In fact my doctor said that the

higher T3 goes, ferritin goes up on it's own.

Is this valid?

I get a ratio of 13.65. Looks like the rt3 is back but I am not an expert. STo: RT3_T3 Sent: Wed, March 10, 2010 1:22:10 PMSubject: Latest labs--is RT3 returning for me?

Thank you. It seems there are so many aspects of this issue to figure what is

really going on.
