It is a very good book with helpful and insiring information. I thought it was

easy to read and even entertaining. Her description of her first days in New

York City and immigrating fro Ireland charmed me.

Very good book about a woman who " did whatever it takes " to recover from

scleroderma.

rheumatic Maureen Book on healing with Scleroderma

Just an FYI...some of you may remember a Maureen , she was a patient of

DR. Whitmans(don't know if she still sees him or not) ..my rheumatologist....she

wrote a book about her journey with SD and her battle and subsequent healing of

the Scleroderma. It is called A Place To Go...I just re-read it again last night

and found it enormously helpful...I thought that since many are new on this

site, it might be helpful to put this out there...she does have a website..I was

just there...I typed in Maureen , Scleroderma and it took me to her site.

I found it veryyyy informative and helpful. I have had her book for several

years and I am sorry, I don't remember where I got it, I may have ordered it

online. I would call your local library to see if it is available as well. Just

wanted to put this out there..DR. Whitman had put me in touch with her years ago

and last night, I re-read her book and thought I should post this on here for

everyone who may be interested.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Debbie for posting this information.  I was wondering if you ever

had

problems with pulmonary hypertension?

Well, one cardiologist says no, not so far...the other...wants to do an invasive

procedure to find out...since the first cardiologist says no..and he is from

Harvard....he says he sees no signs of it...so far..then I am thus, not inclined

to do an invasive procedure..just to give the 2nd cardiologist a dx or not...not

yet...altho with my form of SD...I have been warned, PH is what they watch out

for...
