Guest guest
Hi Group, Next week, I'll be having my first round of IV's at my home (excited and nervous!) overseen by doc Sinnott and my lady doc here in Fairfield. (I've been on minoclyklin 7 months...RA 4 years) Should I increase my probiotic during the IV's? If so, to what....and anything else? Many thanks always, sally rheumatic info I just found this and I did not know about the vitamin E. So I thot maybe others did not know either so here it is! (smiling). " Fish oil is the best way to increase your intake of omega-3 essential fatty acids. I recommend 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil and 1,500 milligrams of DHA daily. And remember, whenever you take any type of fatty acid, you need to take vitamin E as well (400 IU of vitamin E as mixed tocopherols). Vitamin E helps keep the fatty acids from breaking down too rapidly in the body. " cooky
Guest guest
Hi Amy, below is an email I've saved from Cookie, talking about Vit E (which I've yet to start), but doesn't mention pigmentation of skin (is that the purple like bruises I have on my hands that don't go away??) (400 IU of vitamin E as mixed tocopherols Your mentioning dry eyes, made me think about mine: they are dry, red and somewhat hurt. I thought this might be from Iowa winter and running heat.....never thought related to antibiotics?? I have a topical skin get from Mannatech that I lightly rub on the edges of my eyes that help quite a bit......I'll start doing this on a more regular basis. Soooooo sorry to hear of your sausage fingers....you've been doing so well. I hate to think I have to be " on guard " the rest of my life, but sounds like for now I/we need to be. Guest guest
re dry eyes, I'm not aware that antibiotics cause dry eyes. It could be environmental as someone mentioned. There is an autoimmune condition called Sjögren's syndrome <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sj%C3%B6gren%27s_syndrome> that causes dryness, but I don't believe only of the eyes. Take care, Ute
